About Me

I am a spiritual director and pastor, offering spiritual direction, the Ignatian Exercises, individual and group retreats, workshops and consultations for churches and ministries.

I have been a pastor and leader in Christian ministries for more than 25 years, experiencing the joys and sorrows of the life of faith. One of my passions is to strengthen and encourage pastors and ministry leaders by strengthening their relationship with the living God. I have also walked closely with spouses struggling in their marriages, and people suffering from serious mental health issues. I seek to see my directees in and through the love of the Father, encourage them to encounter the compassion of Jesus, and to open themselves to the Spirit’s work in their lives.

I was trained as a pastor, earning a Masters of Divinity from Bethany Theological Seminary, and trained as a spiritual director, completing both the Soul Formation Academy of Spiritual Direction and Formation, and the Soul Formation School of Spiritual Direction. I currently serve on the coordinating committee of the Soul Formation Community of Spiritual Directors, and am a member of the spiritual direction association ESDA, and a spiritual director with Anam Cara Ministries.

My wife Debbie and I have been married for 20 years and have two daughters. We lead a marriage ministry called Cana in the San Francisco Bay Area and seek to encourage couples towards God and into deeper connection with one another.
